 Well its been a while since I last bored you all with an Update , some things have been Happening that did not warrant me doing a Blog but I have  an update that is worth mentioning .                                          It is almost 12 months since Mr Baldwin said those words  YOU HAVE A THROAT  VIRUS CANCER  Since then I have shared my Journey with you all and its been a tough one indeed, to that end this will probably be The LAST BLOG that I write unless there are any Major Developments  . You are aware that I took the Decision to Decline the Major Neck Dissection Surgery at this time and requested another PET Scan which was granted and done at MRI , Today I attended North Manchester General Hospital to get the Results of that Scan . I will have my usual moan first , my appointment was for the 23 rd September but was cancelled at Short notice due...

 Blog update Monday 2-9-24 at Manchester Royal Infirmary  So due to having no Car at the moment today  I used my Seniors travel Card and traveled by Train, Tram and Bus to my 30 th Hospital Appointment of 2024 to Manchester Royal Infirmary Department of Nuclear Medicine , it is based in the St Marys Maternity section which confused me slightly 😂 Due to not knowing its location and using public transport I had made sure I was early today and checked in at the Reception desk with no Problems . After a while my name was called and off I went , strange I wasnt nervous this time , it is number 3 !! but they work totally different to Christies my male nurse was Guy and he took me through to a small cubicle to weigh me and Measure me , pretty standard routine now , he then went through a questionnaire with me and explained what was going to be happening once that was done we went through to another Cubicle where he promptly  made another hole in my arm for a Cannula  ...

Hello everyone , yes here I am back again , so much has been happening that I have waited to update the Blog , only after Thursday can I really do it. After being referred to the ENT Dept  at the MRI I attended on the 25 th July , I wont bore you with the pre amble of being left alone !! in an examination room for over 2 hours !!                                                        When eventually the door opened in walks Abdullah and  my MacMillan Nurse   Ruth ( A VERY LOOSE DESCRIPTION OF MY NURSE ! ) Abdullah apologises for delay and starts to talk to me , I because I am very annoyed and Pissed off with things stop him and request to Speak first ? he agrees .                              I tell him that I want Honesty ( which has been sadly lacking of...

 Hello everyone and welcome , Sadly its isnt a good news Blog and am not looking forward to writing it to be Honest , but I did promise a Warts and All Policy so thats what we have appointment 24 of 2024 . My next planned appointment was 5 th July 24 , but on Wednesday of this week I received a call from Mr Hughes secretary say because of something he was doing next week could I attend earlier and do this Friday 28th ? I said yes and was given 11-55 am slot . On Thursday while out at Bowls I received another call from Aden at Christies asking me the same question ? I informed him about the cal from the day before and that I was already booked for 11-55 am , he then informed me that I wasnt on the system and offered me other times ? , I rejected the offer saying Mr Hughes Secretary had booked me in and because a third person was going with me it was not convenient to change !! so he agreed to 11-55 .                        ...

 Well hello everyone and welcome  ,Whats  happened since 29th May update ? not a lot really , I managed to complete the Part 2 of the Earad Clinical Review tests after my ear issue cleared up , so that is done and dusted and out of the way . I did have another Appointment at the Fairfield Hospital on the 11th June , but that was a farce ,total waste of time so wont bother with it any Further  So today was my 22 nd Hospital / Clinic Visit of 2024 !! thats quite a lot isnt it , and it was back to the Christie Hospital ,Nuclear Medicine Outpatients dept for another Full Body PET Scan .         Nice to be welcomed with Hello again how are you ? from more or less the same staff as my Last one , Lisa and a Young Student Nurse Daisy took me into the Lead Lined Examination and Lisa went through the procedure and tick sheet with me and there were no issues arising from that .                      ...
