23-11-23 Day 4 Treatment 4

 Good evening everyone , thanks very much for those who have had a read of Yesterdays  Blog and Commented , love some of the comments , amazing what a bunch of weirdos I have as Friends , such funny comments and thats what I wanted it to be.

So Day 4 of 30 , went very smoothly I must say so not a very long Blog tonight ,Yippee I hear you say , Taxi arrived Just before 1 pm  , nice and early little did I know the driver was a mix of Lewis Hamilton and the Stig !!, Bloody hell he was Rapid I can only remember a few Parts of the Route I am an awful Back seater , so I just closed my eyes ha ha , and we arrived bang on 1-30 pm so that is some going , even I would have been proud of that , I thanked him as I collected my sick bag off the floor , it wasnt used I just wanted a Souvenir !!

As I walked to the main entrance   there was a lot of people cheering and  Hugging I can only assume that this was someone who got the All Clear and rang the Bell , lovely to see the celebration.

So in I go , now confident and know where I am going and to be honest its weird feeling so relaxed about the treatment and Mask I am about to have , A testament  to the Staff and my own attitude I suppose .Slight change today Suite 4 is having a service ,and no I didnt break it , so Colleen appears and calls me into suite 11 , slightly different layout but same type of equipment , and same team except no Hercules or Whitney , so its whizzy whizz shirt off and on the machine , the usual positioning and moving me into position then off they go and the Machine , From now on called Ray by majority vote , starts its wind up noises and before you know it , they taking my Mask and helping me off the Machine.

As I walk back past the Control Room the Team ask me about my Blog and the Pics , so I give them the Blog Address and they all Log on and think its a Brilliant idea to share the journey and friends can comment ,I have to admit to them that aia failed in my efforts to Upload the pics from my Phone to the Blog and enlisted mt Techy expert Bev  Heath who as usual dragged me out of the mire and told to switch mine off !!! which I did ,  I also showed them the Hat that my lovely friend Amy had sent me which they also think is Brilliant ,thanks again Amy & Tony for the lovely thought , I may push my luck and ask if we can do a team Photo , fingers crossed.

So apart from saying that I am feeling Fine and very relaxed about everything ,I am eating well , sleeping well , following all the Hygiene routines and exercises that were set out for me and will continue to do so

    Day 4 already, wow this is going so fast. I love the machine name by the way. More pics would be great to see. You have got this Thomas, you are positive and with all of your supporters behind you, you will beat this!! Nite nite my hero! Love you xx

    Good to hear Day 4 was a good one and things are rolling along💜
    My prediction for tomorrow is you sleep through your alarm answer the door to the taxi driver in your PJ's and the taxi driver drives like Miss Daisy. The girls operating Ray complain that they are putting on too much weight with all the Chocolate you've been feeding them and ask to be assigned to another patient 🤔🤔🤣

    Hey Tom another day off the list, by the sounds of it your into a good and settled routine, days going smoothly…..perhaps going to old Trafford might not be a good idea..🫢. Your ride there sounds like an amusement park ride…bloody hell to upset you takes some doing…lol. Your first week completed coming up already, bet you’re ready for a relaxing weekend. Blog Update Monday 7-10-24 Appointment 32 of 2024 North Manchester General Hospital

 Well its been a while since I last bored you all with an Update , some things have been Happening that did not warrant me doing a Blog but I have  an update that is worth mentioning .                                          It is almost 12 months since Mr Baldwin said those words  YOU HAVE A THROAT  VIRUS CANCER  Since then I have shared my Journey with you all and its been a tough one indeed, to that end this will probably be The LAST BLOG that I write unless there are any Major Developments  . You are aware that I took the Decision to Decline the Major Neck Dissection Surgery at this time and requested another PET Scan which was granted and done at MRI , Today I attended North Manchester General Hospital to get the Results of that Scan . End of week 6 , Tues 2-1-23 , Day 30 Treatment 30

 So END OF WEEK 6 , Day 30 ,Treatment 30 !! THE END   Forgive me if I write rubbish tonight I am a bit  of an Emotional wreck. First of all thank you to all those who read and commented on my Last Blog in 2023 , wow another Year gone, its much appreciated  I assure you . So today Bev Heath very kindly drove me to Christies for my last treatment , so no waiting or wondering if my Taxi would arrive or not . Bev arrived at mu house and after a quick chat we were away in awful weather conditions , but Bev is an excellent driver and drove to the conditions  and we arrived in Plenty of Time and found a parking spot on the street very close to Christies so just a short walk around the corner to Christies . So on arrival I am due to have Bloods taken again so round we go to Dept 1 to check in , no problem , then over to check in at Bloods and they tell me they have no papers for me and someone is bringing them down from the Office !! so Bev and I take a seat and ch...
