Day 1 launch
Good afternoon everybody. As you know I have recently been diagnosed with a throat cancer. After some whizzy, whizz visits to various hospitals, surgeons, oncologists and specialists, the way forward to beat the cancer has been charted.
On the 20th November 2023, I start a 6 weeks intensive daily course of radiotherapy at the Christie Hospital in Manchester.
I know this is going to be a difficult and tough journey and the idea of this blog is to keep all my family and friends updated, especially during the shitty times that are bound to come.
I appreciate all the lovely comments and messages that I have received and it makes me feel so much better to know that the love and support is out there. I will attempt to update this blog daily as to my condition, both as a personal diary and permanent record of my journey. There will be times that I will not be using social media and messaging, so please use this platform to ask questions, pass comments, give support or just be your normal mad selves and send me a smile!
One step at a time, side by side 😉
