Week 3 , 6 -12-23 Day 13 ,Treatment 13
Good evening for the second time today , Thanks everyone for your comments yesterday , it certainly was a tough day , I was so tired and had so much to write but just couldnt do it. Today is much easier.
Bang on 1 pm Taxi arrived and off we went to Christies.
Arrived at 1-40 pm and straight to Dept 39 and suite 4 , checked and went in waiting where I had no sooner sat Down than called in by Lydia and Tracy a Lady from Christies Oldham having and experience day , she loved the Hat , so it was straight in and Undressed and on to Ray I go , safely secured in my Mask , off the 2 Ladies go and Ray sparks into Life . Pretty soon its over and I am released from Mask ,Dressed again and on my way out given a Box of Supplement Drinks that the Dietitian had left for me about 25 of them I think to help build me up again , then I get the Teams sweetie choice for tomorrow ,Haribo , what a great Team they are.
So off I go with my Goodies to the Transport Office and book in , we have a chat about last nights hassle but they are really nice too. Off I go and sit down and after about 40 minutes my name is called and I am on my way.
Good news the Meds Have stopped me Vomiting and I had a really good sleep last night , Did a small Shepherds Pie tonight followed by Jelly and Ice Cream and now the Blog is done I will go and try one of those Supplement drinks
And I have to admit This Treatment is Tougher than I thought and is really tiring , but lets stick at it and get through the next 2 and a bit weeks of Treatment,
Thanks everyone
Tom x

Glad todays a better one xx
ReplyDeleteOh what a difference a day makes, oh and a good nights sleep. I am really relieved that the meds are working and you have supplement drinks. You have got this Thomas, you have the measure of it, your positivity shines through. I was thinking about it all today, and how you have to go every day, , but your stoic attitude to that is phenomenal. I felt really bad because I rushed you last night, in my selfish need to know how you got on, I missed the fact you were tired and cold and hungry. So that won't happen again. SO instead of all of that I am sending you a massive hug, a huge kiss and all of my love, my HERO!! I hope you have another good night tonight, ready for tomorrows adventure. xxx
ReplyDeleteOnward Soldier! Each day by day is all that matters Glad the meds are kicking in so at least you get some good sleep. Good to register that treatment might be up and down like this. If a day is very bad, tomorrow might be better. Already Thurs tomo and near the end of week 3. You will be there before you know it. Love ya matey, ps thanks too for the very touching Xmas card, you too always think of others, despite going thru all this xx
ReplyDeleteSending ALL of the love and hugs xxx

Glad you are feeling better today and the meds have stopped the vomiting. Rest lots Tom and hope you sleep well tonight. The next 2 weeks or so will fly by. x
ReplyDeleteIt's tough Thomas, they said it would be and it's going to get tougher. Take each day as it come, each day is a day closer to the end of the treatment. Relish the good days like today when things go to plan and it almost seems like a normal day at the office. During the bad times re-read all the comments on this blog and the support of all the good friends you have around you. Rest when you can, eat and drink as much you can AND use any of our shoulders to lean on when you need it. Rest well my friend xxx
ReplyDeleteGlad you have managed to keep some food down Tom and a few treats! The reality of how the treatment effects your body must be really hard to contend with, but you have a positive mind set and a real determination to beat this so that will get you through. Sending hugs and healing x🙌 Angie
