Week 3 7-12-23 Day 14 ,Treatment 14

 Good evening everyone  and thanks for the many comments yesterday and thank you to all those who may have read it . Not much to write tonight so here goes .

Transport arrived on time and off we went to the Christies  in Manchester

Arrived early and went straight to check in at Dept 39  , noticing lots of Christmas Jumpers around the Place ,apparently its National Christmas Jumper Day and nobody told me !! sat waiting for a few minutes then called into Suite 4 ( sounds posh that doesnt it ) straight in Top off and straight on to Ray , Masked up and treatment  fires up . Soon the Team are back in unmasking me and once again sending me on   my way.;

Off to Transport which looking busy no quick escape today Im afraid  , eventually car arrives but  its now peeing down and Dark and traffic is awful so its a slow run home tonight .

One thing I did ask today was does anybody tell me how the Treatment is going answer the Team dont know . Once treatment finishes on 2 nd Jan 2024  , they leave me about 6 weeks to let things settle down then get me in for a Scan , not sure on Time Scale from then.

So I am Allowed to ring the Bell on the 2 nd of Jan to signify end of Treatment and then obviously depending what they find after Scan and meeting with Docs  If I get all clear its Ring a Ding Ding .

If I get definate dates I will obviously tell you all .So thats if for tonight And its Friday tomorrow Yeahhhh

Tom x

    I used to hear it ringing loads when I worked as my work station was on the other side of thatvwhite door as you turn back onto the corridor after the bell.

  2. So pleased it’s been an uneventful day for you for a change. Be good for you to relax this evening. How’s the dry mouth, and wonderful mouth wash, probably just as well you can’t taste it, lol.

  6. Yes, think you ring the bell on 2 Jan, wait those weeks (remember Rhod Gilbert saying it was a nervous wait). Then hopefully scan will then 'prove' the radiotherapy has worked. Hundreds of fingers from all your friends and family will be firmly crossed as we hope no more treatment for Tom and job done! After tomorrow is your halfway mark, can you believe it! Hope it's a quiet and easy one, rest up at the weekend and ready for week 4 ! Smashing it Thomaaaas 💪👌 xx

  8. Hi Tom….I know late again, sorry about this, the 5 hour difference really does make a difference. Good to hear everything went okay today, except the weather didn’t cooperate, I’ll have a chat with the met office, but no promises okay🫢. Bloody Hell half way tomorrow, hope you will celebrate this weekend, if your honest with yourself, your doing so well other than the blip with the medication and sickness, some “cream” of everything soup, half a loaf of bread dipped in, followed by a sweetie should help with the weight thing. I am sorry about the package delivery thing…bloody Royal Mail, what’s going on…lol. Light at the end of the tunnel now Tom, knowing the schedule and when you will be able to ring the bell, just make sure in your enthusiasm you don’t pull it off the wall, or make it sound like a fire alarm 🫢. Looking really good Tom, half way through and you’re as strong as when you started, speak again tomorrow in your blog…tomorrow HALF way through….🫶🫶🎄❤️
