Week 3 Day 11 ,Treatment 11

Good evening everyone and hope you had a nice week end  playing in the Snow , once again thank you to all those who have read my Blog and Commented.

So it was week 3 of my Course and a Wet Monday and lots of traffic issues which delayed my arrival at Christies , just one of those frustrating days , not really anyones  fault .

Because its the first day of the week its over to Dept 1 ,the Vampires , didnt have to wait long before being called in and I asked Julie if she could use my right arm today because my left looks a bit bruised , no Problem at , pretty quickly 5 samples taken and off I paddle to Dept 39 , Suite 4 and check in.

Not many people waiting , pretty much the usual Patients I see daily at around the same time. It wasnt long before I was called by the Team and of course wearing my Hat  , no issues to report so it was straight on to Ray , Mask On and Treatment  Begins , whizzy whizz , job done , up dressed and on my way to Transport  section and book in.

Waited about 45 minutes for my lift home but of course its now Raining ,Dark and Rush hour so more traffic issues ,again the knock on affect of the Day.

Tomorrow I have my second Clinical review after or before treatment when I have a few things I need to raise with them .Including Food swallowing issues discovered this evening .

So thats it for Tonight folks , take care out there and will update tomorrow .

Tom

  1. Might be soft food from now Tom. Soups and jelly ice cream etc. As long as you keep eating. Hope all goes well tomorrow. Love and hugs. Dee x

  2. Evening Tom, glad things are running a little smoother. You might be better staying with soups, and maybe milk puddings, if you're having difficulty swallowing, see what they say, it must be all very tiring for you all the travelling to and from etc, but you're in your 3rd week now, how fast has that gone, you're doing great, proud of you, everyone is, and everyone wishes the best for you, no on more than me, ❤️so keep doing what you're doing, and all will be well very soon, I love ya, big hug, god bless, xx ♥️

The same advice from me as the others have suggested a change in diet looks on the cards, stay strong and keep your chin's upp xxx

  8. Oh dear me, well whenever I was ill as a little girl there was always one food my Mam would give me, she was sure I would eat it and keep it down. RICE PUDDING!! and do you know it is the first thing I always want if I can't eat anything else, even now aged 74 years. And of course Horlicks at bedtime. Rich loves the Chocolate flavour, he swears by it. Do you have a liquidiser for home made soups and of course anything else you fancy. Potato hash, and dumplings. But my poor Thomas you really do need to keep on eating, never mind my silly suggestions (except the rice pudding of course). You are in the third week, this time is flying and so are you. That hat says it all really! We are with you big man, love you loads. xxxx ❤️❤️❤️❤️xxxx

  9. Just wondering…….December 4, 2023 at 9:39 PM

Out of interest, is your sense of smell being affected too?

Time is zipping by. Does it feel like it’s going quickly for you?

  12. Well I have a lovely green smoothy most days, full of kale spinach, celery, broccoli, spirulina, and frozen fruit to improve the flavour. Very nutritious ๐Ÿ˜‹ and has your taste buds aren't great at the moment you should give it a try ๐Ÿ˜‚. Angie x
