Week 4 11-12-23 day 16 , Treatment 16

 Good evening everyone  , thats  another week end end slipped bye , thanks to all those who have read and Commented on the Last Blog 

Well today started at precisely 9-05 am and I am still enjoying an unbroken sleep , my first since this  Journey thing started , when I am awoken by my phone ringing  ( Private number ) so I try my best  to utter a word "Hello" , is that Thomas Slattery ? ,Yes !!  Are you aware you  have missed an 8 am appointment ? , Err no , my appointments are all 14-05 hrs right through ! well you have missed a Clinical One at 8 am so we are sending a Vehicle to pick you up .

Err sorry I am still in Bed I know of nothing of any  Appointment !! and I have to go to Bloods first . Thats o.k then come to Treatment Room ? Transport being arranged 

No shit Sherlock it was there within 15 minutes ( how did that happen I normally have to wait hours ) car arrives ,hair still wet , no Breakfast what T* is going on . Taxi driver got the Job at 9-08 am ?

So of course its busy with traffic and I learn another  Route but no quicker its  Rush hour !!

Eventually arrive and go straight to Bloods apologizing for lateness " your not late we just fit you in when you arrive " so you havent rung me ?  NO ! So Vampires satisfied of I go to Dept 39 check and again apologise for being Late , again "  your not late your early ", so who has rung me then ? 

I have a Lady on another Desk responds so we are all ears WHY ? , You were due a Chemotherapy Treatment at 8 am , as ONE the Team respond    BUT HE IS NOT HAVING CHEMO  !!! SO WHY ??

Apparently a Glitz on the machine , no shit Sherlock , so my day is up the Spout because you didnt even check it out , I have had no breakfast so my regime has been messed up yet again  , The Lady apologies !!

So off I go to Suite four and Ray awaits ,Treatment done no issues   so off to Transport and wait for my Ride , I bet its more than 15 minutes , nearly an hour later I am on my way home fed up tired and Irritable things I need to do .

So yet another bit of a Farce that we dont need to start a week THINGS CAN ONLY GET BETTER

    Please look at a positive your in week 4 now over half way , we are all behind you, use our support to help power you through the next 14 treatments and the carrot is the celebration of you beating this.
    Come on your doing great won't be long now and Thomas will back to his mischievous self so proud of you xx

    Well Thomas, it seems like a case of right hand not knowing what left hand is doing, and I think that is putting it mildly. But you are doing marvellously, you have so much more patience than I have. Let us know how the oramorph is helping. I hope you are still wearing that hat! I can understand if you didn't wear it today as your hair was wet, but hoping you wear it tomorrow. Also hope everything is on time as planned and not a wild goose chase like today. But the great thing is...... you are another day closer to the end of the treatment, which has got to be good. Love you Thomas, hang in there, we are all with you. So proud of you. xxxx

    Well Thomas remember your 7P's! These are all within your control. All the other shit is outside your control and you are dealing with it admirably. Look after your body/health which will help 'Ray' heal you. The glitches each week can be dealt with after your recovery. Rest well my friend xxx (sod getting an alarm clock) 🤣🤣🤣

    I can only hope you got to have a good night’s sleep for 2nd night in a row to make up for all the challenges of yesterday. Certainly one of the toughest days you’ve been through so far!!

    Gee Thomas that is not good , errors like that AT THAT LEVEL Could have maimed or even killed someone . I’m glad it never happened and you are able to query your treatment .

Blog Update Monday 7-10-24 Appointment 32 of 2024 North Manchester General Hospital

 Well its been a while since I last bored you all with an Update , some things have been Happening that did not warrant me doing a Blog but I have  an update that is worth mentioning .                                          It is almost 12 months since Mr Baldwin said those words  YOU HAVE A THROAT  VIRUS CANCER  Since then I have shared my Journey with you all and its been a tough one indeed, to that end this will probably be The LAST BLOG that I write unless there are any Major Developments  . You are aware that I took the Decision to Decline the Major Neck Dissection Surgery at this time and requested another PET Scan which was granted and done at MRI , Today I attended North Manchester General Hospital to get the Results of that Scan . End of week 6 , Tues 2-1-23 , Day 30 Treatment 30

 So END OF WEEK 6 , Day 30 ,Treatment 30 !! THE END   Forgive me if I write rubbish tonight I am a bit  of an Emotional wreck. First of all thank you to all those who read and commented on my Last Blog in 2023 , wow another Year gone, its much appreciated  I assure you . So today Bev Heath very kindly drove me to Christies for my last treatment , so no waiting or wondering if my Taxi would arrive or not . Bev arrived at mu house and after a quick chat we were away in awful weather conditions , but Bev is an excellent driver and drove to the conditions  and we arrived in Plenty of Time and found a parking spot on the street very close to Christies so just a short walk around the corner to Christies . So on arrival I am due to have Bloods taken again so round we go to Dept 1 to check in , no problem , then over to check in at Bloods and they tell me they have no papers for me and someone is bringing them down from the Office !! so Bev and I take a seat and ch...
