Week 4 12-12-23 , Day 17 ,Treatment 17
Good morning everyone and another apology for failing to do the Blog Yesterday , I was knackered and even failed to watch another dismal Man Utd Failure . Thanks to everyone who read and commented on yesterdays Blog , much appreciated
So yesterday Transport on time and arrived at Christies in good time , they are have a week of Christmas Music though I dont see much of it , Rock Choir hr today , nice sound
Straight round to Suite 4 , not waiting long then called in , Undress and say hello to Ray and the team , Masked up and treatment done , off I go for part 2 today .
Into a waiting area where I am weighed and asked a few questions then off to a Medical room where I meet Mr Hughes , my Oncologist for the first time since 29 th October various questions asked on both sides and he is Prescribing more drugs to help with Pain ( I already rattle when I walk ) and A Morphine patch . He is Happy with me and my Progress and apologised for Monday cock up which he too was annoyed about so that that was him off on his rounds .
Next in is Claire ,the Dietitian for a chat all seems good since I went on the Morphine but a little more weight loss , not surprising really , a couple of Roast dinners will sort , Ooops cant do that can I , Oh well , Other than that all is well..
Now off to the dreaded Pharmacy but this time I will drop off and collect tomorrow ha ha 40 minutes just queuing to do that , ridiculous.
Now off to Transport and yes 1ts 4-30 and busy Check in and sit and wait , and hour later and I am on my way , really tired now and traffic heavy due to Football traffic so no home until 6-15 pm Pooped , sit down and re charge before cooking Tea , the treatment really taking effect now .
Thats it ,Sorry its Late .
Tom x
Not to fussed weather the blog is late or early, so long as you are eating what you can and getting as much rest as you can. The meds seem to be doing the job so you just crack on getting through each day. xxx
ReplyDeleteNo need to apologise Tom. As long as you are doing everything right. The journeys are not always straightforward. You take good care of yourself and rest up a bit too. xx
ReplyDeleteTom there’s no need to apologise to anyone - we are all happy to read it when you are ready to post and are more concerned about you taking care and getting your rest when you need it.
ReplyDeleteYou’re going through the toughest part right now but you will soon be 2/3 of the way through it and on the homeward stretch! X
Awww Thomas you are going through it. But you still manage to be your lovely self. I think about you every day. You have got this. Sending you l9ts of love and hugs my beautiful friend. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
ReplyDeleteMust admit Tom was getting worried about you not blogging. Sounds like things are going well as far as your doctor is concerned, other than the weight loss and the pain, thank god for morphine, and now a patch should make it more consistent with release into your body. You’re doing amazing Tom, I know it’s easy for us lot to say, but you have maintained the Tom we all know!!, even through all this you do your blog, always find something to joke about….even if it’s not good🙁. Those bloody dinners are going to taste like they have never tasted before once you get back into them, and your first curry and chippy….. by the time you write todays blog, you’ll be over half way through another week….the 4th week. Onwards and upwards….not sure who said that. 🫶🎄
ReplyDeleteAwww, thinking of you all the time, as sure so many of us are. Counting down the days till that blessed bell ring. I did Rock Choir few years ago - weirdly they don't learn the notes, they learn by repetition of the leader. It was fun but not my style really. They liked a bit of swaying too which I wasn't too good at coordinating! Did a few garden centres and fetes tho! Anyway, hope today has been better. Just get through each day best you can. Sure others are able to help with anything, let them help. You need your rest. Until tomorrow! Xx
ReplyDeleteHi Tom, don't be sorry for anything at all, pleased to hear they're happy with your progress, and the morphine is helping , making you sleep no doubt. ReplyDeleteJust want to add Tom, I think about you a lot on this journey of yours, it's bound to take its toll, but things sound good from the Dr, you're going thru hell Tom I feel for you I really do, I just want to give you a big hug, you're there on your own, but my thoughts are with you everyday, keep on being strong, we know how to be strong, you'll come thru this the other side, I know you will, be brave, be strong, and remember to get plenty of rest, I love you so much get well soon xxx ❤️❤️❤️
ReplyDeleteNo need to apologise, we are with you whatever.
ReplyDeleteI know that this blog means a lot to you, and is keeping a focus, but make sure you look after yourself with food and medication.
And, as well as taking heed of what all your followers are saying, take notice of your amazing Dr's and nurses xx
