Week 4 day 20 ,15-12-23 Treatment 20
Well here we are end of week 4 !! ,Thanks for all those who read my Blog and Commented , and thank you all for your continued support I really appreciate it .
So its Friday and I dont know what the Taxi situation is where you are ? here its over 90% Muslim and like Gold dust between 12 pm and 2 pm when after several phone call chasers mine arrives at 13-45 pm 45 mins Late .!!
Today I had arranged meet a friend Lynn Howe at Christies , we failed on Wednesday , but it worked today Because I was Late I met Lynn at the Main entrance so we could walk to Dept 39 Suite 4 and check in, it was Pretty busy and I was Late so it Gave Lynn and I a chance to natter and catch up after a Long Absence , which we did do. Then Colleens voice hailed me in and I said I would meet Lynn back at the Main entrance later.
So in I go and meet Maeve not a name I have come across before but also like Colleen Irish and lovely .So I undress and on to Ray I go Maeve in charge today , the usual Mask up and Treatment and then released , then I find out they are both going back to Ireland for Christmas , so that was a good excuse for a Hug and wish them a Safe Merry Christmas with their families
So I then head back to Lynn to Continue our Catch Up part 2 ,it was to good to hear what her and hubby Rob and crazy Hound Bailey had been getting up to then it was time to say farewell as Lynn to go and collect a friend so I went back to Transport and was called pretty quickly , so good timing .
WEEK 4 CONCLUSION .
Well last Friday I received a Liquid Morphine Prescription it seem so long ago now, and I must say it went to work quickly , though I had no Voice the Pain was easing now Drinking and Eating was a Painful experience and will be for a while I suspect , Tuesday I was with the Oncologist and Nurse and Infamous no Pharmacy , Prescribed Fentanyl Patches and read the Guides , 6 pages of very clearly , and for numerous reasons which I wont go into and a Couple of discussions with people , I have decided to hold Back on the Patches for now . They were supposed to give me some more Nutrition Drinks but they have never appeared , I can do no more than I am Doing myself but I deffo want a Cream cake tomorrow.
So thats it folks no more until Monday evening and week 5 , love you all to bits now keep pushing me through 10 more days

Only 10 more days to go, easy for me to say I'm sure. But keep pushing through. Enjoy your weekend off, rest, recuperate and try and forget about next week for now. Eat as many cream cakes as you can manage, you deserve them. Hugs from me and John x
ReplyDeleteThomaaaaas!!! Im so excited for you only have a fortnight left! I'm sure of course that is not 'the end' but surely then you get a rest from all this hospital back and forth for a bit. Glad you caught up with Lynn, must do your spirits some good catching up with other stuff. Although - one point - I thought you had no voice?! How did you natter with Lynn then? Sign language, smoke flares, pictionary??! Hope she brought chocolate;) Right then lovely, you enjoy your weekend and that cream cake. We can see the end in sight. You have SO got this young man! Xx

Hold off on the fentanyl Tom. Don't think you will need it. 2/3rd the way through, doing amazingly well given the circumstances. Would be proud of you were you my patient. Luv'ya !!

Certainly sounds like you had an interesting day, and great that you had time with a friend…in person too, not like us lot via the internet 🫢. I am sure you’re starting to want some normality in your life, and you will, promise you will. As for the taxi drivers….don’t get me going on that, here in Canada Indians run everything East Indians that is, our Tim Hortons, security at the airports, petrol stations - gas stations here - taxis, transport trucks, doctors, specialist and so on and so on. You never said if your maintaining your weight!. We’re still here with you Tom, new week next week, I am sure this time next week, you’ll feel much closer to the end……and we’ll be here, all of us. Doing great Tom, have a restful weekend with no appointments to worry about, treat yourself to half a dozen chocolate eclairs, or some other exotic sweetie……❤️🎄🎄🎄🎄

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your cream cake Tom you deserve it. All meds come with lots of side effects so font hold back if you need them to make you more comfortable. If you really don't like the issues with fentanyl talk it through with them. They can offer alternatives. Have a good weekend. Xxx
