Week 6 Thurs 28-12-23 Day 27 , Treatment 27 of 30 ,

Good evening everyone , thanks to everyone who has  read yesterdays Blog and commented and those who just read it , your all important to me.

So today car on time lousy weather , not fit to go out , but I did ,arrived in good time and straight to Dept 39 To check in then on to Suite 4 , 3 in front so a bit of a wait chance to read 1 one of my new books thanks Sarah Hindle .

Called in after a while and its my Irish friend Colleen back from her home visit , so a few pleasantries and a Little Haribo , it is Thursday  innit exchanged then its prepare for action , today I need help removing my new collar which has been o.k , although re fitting it after my shower and taping it up   would have been a good Video  , its not easy at all .Anyway onto Ray I go and again Cling film applied to tender areas , funny watching them fight the cling film like I fought the Tape ha ha , anyway Ham Sandwich masked up and off they go , THEN NOTHING !! RAY IS REFUSING TO PLAY !! , Houston we Have a Problem  !!

The computer has dropped out , they ask  me  if I am o.k I give thumbs up .But after a while they come back in and remove Mask because the Engineers want to do a Test Run ,no shit Sherlock ? , so I go back into the waiting room while they test Ray , when the Engineers come out I asked if Ray is fixed they say yes ans smile , I say its not going to turn me into a Kebab is it ? they laugh ans assure me all is well , so back in I get more cling film and am Masked up and away we go , this time all goes well ,I am Cooked ha ha , up I get Colleen Helps put my Neck Collar back on  even she needs my help ha ha we laugh , I get dressed then head to Transport.

Now a little reality kicks in ,because when I check in I cancel Transport for Tuesday , wow just 2 more  Taxis home to wait for Because my lovely friend Bev Heath is going to Pick me up and Take me in on the Final Day , lovely Lady thank you. Then my name is called by an Ambulance driver and I get an Ambulance ride home bloody freezing  but a quick journey .

So there you have it another one bites the dust , just 3 more to go ,

Night Night everyone lots of Love

  3. All in all, it was a nice day out then😉
The collar im sure will become easier to manipulate as the week goes on I'm sure and it maybe necessary to continue using it until your neck heals a bit more once the radiotherapy finishes.
Rest up mate and conserve your strength 💪 xx

  4. I bet that was a shock when Ray didn't work! Just glad the engineers were there on hand to fix it, phew! That collar sounds like a real faff, but it seems to be working so worth the faffing about with it. Only 3 more days to go, excitement building everywhere. You have done such a fabulous job of relating your journey the time has flown. I don't know about everyone else, but I start checking for an updated blog early evening and am filled with joy when I see it there. It means Thomas is home, has had his treatment and is well enough to write his blog, phew, a sigh of relief, now down to reading it! Well done my Hero, just 3 more days to go! We are all here pushing and pulling you through to the last meeting with Ray. Love you my big sweet man. xxx
