Blog update 29-5-24 Thursday

 Well good afternoon everyone and thanks for looking in and commenting on the Blog ,much appreciated I assure you .

Well as I said in my last Blog anything can change and it has done the reasoning behind it I can only guess ?

So after having my Biopsies on the 23rd May and ringing  up to get a sooner date for my results I was a Happy Chappy !! 😄                                                                                                                                           Then late on the Friday the 24th I receive a first class Letter from Christies  , On opening I note the letter is dated the 17th May (  yes folks 7 days to get across Manchester ? )   and I wasnt a Happy Chappy any more , Another PET Scan appointment for the 17 th June !!!?                                            

Now before you ask them I will try and give you my initial questions                                                            The letter is dated before I have my second Biopsies why dont they wait for results ?                                    If the Biopsies come back clear why have another PET Scan planned ?                                                          When I was given   the 7th June there was nothing else on the system ?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    So unfortunately its Bank Holiday Friday so I cant contact Bev the secretary until Tuesday to ask her what is going on ? and she was as surprised as me I think . After she did some searching on the system   and a discussion the way forward was decided                                                                                                          Appointment    on the 7 th is Cancelled   , I will go for PET Scan on 17th June ,I will hopefully get all results on the 5th July ,  this of course unless anything else comes to light !! , yes I am very frustrated but there is nothing that I can do , so again another Radioactive Injection for the Scan ( I wonder what the residual is on this stuff ?) Its been a long Journey but hopefully 5th July will be the day

    I think it's been a lot of not knowing what the others are doing bad really, they should all be in conjunction with each other on the process , but what do I know. Fingers crossed nothing else crops up, and all should come to a happy conclusion very soon Tom, luv ya lots, keep your chin up, xx ❤️

    Hi Tom, I know we have chatted earlier on messenger, but after you going through the trouble to post this, I couldn’t just read it with no acknowledgment. Like you, I do understand that with the amount of people waiting to see a specialist, and not just cancer, the shear amount of work must be overwhelming, and although they shouldn’t happen oversights do happen. Fingers crossed Tom things get sorted out and everything is together on July 5th. I am still 100% sure you will ring the bell…. Chat and see you soon. ❤️

 Good evening everyone , well its been a long time since the 7 th October 2024 , there has been a lot happening behind the scenes that are ongoing and nothing relative to my Cancer Treatment itself so I wont be referring to those in this Blog at all . Blog Update Monday 7-10-24 Appointment 32 of 2024 North Manchester General Hospital

 Well its been a while since I last bored you all with an Update , some things have been Happening that did not warrant me doing a Blog but I have  an update that is worth mentioning .                                          It is almost 12 months since Mr Baldwin said those words  YOU HAVE A THROAT  VIRUS CANCER  Since then I have shared my Journey with you all and its been a tough one indeed, to that end this will probably be The LAST BLOG that I write unless there are any Major Developments  . You are aware that I took the Decision to Decline the Major Neck Dissection Surgery at this time and requested another PET Scan which was granted and done at MRI , Today I attended North Manchester General Hospital to get the Results of that Scan . End of week 6 , Tues 2-1-23 , Day 30 Treatment 30

 So END OF WEEK 6 , Day 30 ,Treatment 30 !! THE END   Forgive me if I write rubbish tonight I am a bit  of an Emotional wreck. First of all thank you to all those who read and commented on my Last Blog in 2023 , wow another Year gone, its much appreciated  I assure you . So today Bev Heath very kindly drove me to Christies for my last treatment , so no waiting or wondering if my Taxi would arrive or not . Bev arrived at mu house and after a quick chat we were away in awful weather conditions , but Bev is an excellent driver and drove to the conditions  and we arrived in Plenty of Time and found a parking spot on the street very close to Christies so just a short walk around the corner to Christies . So on arrival I am due to have Bloods taken again so round we go to Dept 1 to check in , no problem , then over to check in at Bloods and they tell me they have no papers for me and someone is bringing them down from the Office !! so Bev and I take a seat and ch...
