 Hello and good afternoon everyone , sorry ,I appreciate its been a while since I updated the Blog on  29   th April  but to be honest its been a bit of a Mess .Are you sitting Comfortably 😁  After having the last lot of Tests I returned  to Christies with my friend Bev Heath on the 10 th May to find out the results of The Biopsies from my Oncologist Mr Hughes , after a brief chat he went on to the Computer to get my File details , when he looked at the screen he said was looking good because       "They didnt need to do Biopsies ? " ,  when I informed him that they HAD put Pins in my neck and were looking for a 9 mm Lymph Node !!!  , his face changed , saying there is nothing on the System  ?? That may be I replied but I can assure you that I watched a Pin inside my Neck on the Screen and listened to them chat about where to go !! .He said that he had to go and make some phone calls          ...

 Hello everyone and yes I am still surviving struggling to put weight back on , still suffering from the Lack of Smell and the Dry mouth which doesnt help really  but have been told to be a Patient Patient , yeah right !! Last week I was given the all clear at North Manchester General by the Dietitian people who assure me I am doing well on getting things working again , and the Head Neck and Throat people who asked me questions and did some tests and checks and said they are Happy with my progress and to stop beating myself up about things that are normal after Radiotherapy . O.K I will !! So today it was back to Christies  for planned X Rays , Ultra Sound and Biopsies on the Lymph Nodes that had shown up on the PET Scan last time  So check in at Dept 2 went o.k didnt wait long and was taken to X Ray which was pretty routine really .  Hello everyone , very sorry I am a day late but it has taken me over 24 hours to come to terms with everything and be able to write this Blog , and before I do start I have to say and not be ashamed that I  have  shed a few tears today , Tears of Relief ,Tears of Joy and Tears of reading and replying to every message I have received in the last 36 hours , Humble and Honoured I have to say ,Thank You all so much 💛  On the 7th of September 2023 I noticed quite a big lump on the right hand side of my Neck had developed overnight ! obviously concerned I rang my Doctors for an Appointment , non were available for 3 weeks ! so I decided to take myself down to North Manchester General Hospital A & E  Which isnt far away from home . This turned out to be one of the Best Decisions I have ever made and the Start of an incredible Journey for me . A journey that in a Matter of weeks led to X rays , Ultra Sound Scans , MRI scans ,meeting 2 great Consultants and Nursing...

 Well good afternoon Friends , its been a long time since my Last update on the 19th Jan , but to be honest not a lot has changed apart from me getting more and more Frustrated with my Lack of Progress , which has affected me Mentally and Physically , I still have no sense of Taste or Smell and because my mouths Saliva Ducts arent functioning yet I am having big issues with a Dry Mouth , leading to problems eating food that I should be eating to get my weight back on but my Mouth is rejecting certain foods and they are constantly changing .I have sought help and advice but that wasnt easy ,I have been in my Black Hole since treatment finished , I have heard nothing from Anyone at Christies and ended up ringing North Manchester General people for help and seeing my own Doctor , the Symptoms I am having are common with Radiotherapy which I had so its Patience and time , I have tried various Prescriptions for my mouth but nothing really solves it but 1 does help a little at night , bu...

 Firstly thanks everyone for your continued interest and reading Previous Blogs , much appreciated . After my last Blog on the 10th Jan I have been on the Anti Biotics as Prescribed because the wound was infected on my neck and very sore , and I continued to use the New Cream which is amazing stuff , it took a few days to get on top of the Neck wounds with bathing them twice a day in clean warm water and changing the Neck collar twice a day , but it worked  really well to the extent that yesterday was my first day without a collar for many weeks but I did use Moisturiser  on my neck which felt lovely , the issue I had been fighting was the thick discharge in my throat which was making me get out of bed 3 or 4 times a night and vomiting and retching to clear it ,not a nice experience and this obviously ruined my sleep pattern , I had been given some medication by the Crisis team to take 4 times a day with the design to Thin the discharge , it did but took a couple of weeks...

Update  So todays visit to the Christie didnt start well , although I was up at 5-30 am ( I have to be ready 2 hours before my 9 am Appt ) and despite numerous phone calls saying 5 minutes , my Taxi  arrives at  8-50 am , to be at Christies at 9 am , doubtless I wasnt happy and made  that clear to the Driver in no uncertain terms , then we get stuck in all the Traffic , he starts to comment about delay ,I tell him well if you had been on time we wouldnt be in it would we !!! he never spoke again and neither did I .  Go straight to Dept 22 Acute Assessment Unit 45 minutes late and apologise  , where once again a very warm welcome , nothing to do with choccies and thank you card for Saturdays care I received .
